PDU socket units from TERACOM and TERACOM PRO product lines are used for organizing power distribution in telecommunication cabinets and racks; for monitoring and accounting of power values supplied to active network and server equipment; for organizing remote monitoring of the cabinet's internal environment via sensors connected to the PDU. PDU TERACOM and TERACOM PRO currently consist of a horizontal socket unit with 6 to 9 electrical socket outlets of CEE 7/7 (Schuko), C13, C19 standards located on the housing. The socket unit housing is made of aluminum profile or heat-resistant plastic. Metal mounting brackets required for installation on 19-inch mounting racks are located at the edges of the PDU housing. Depending on the design, PDU socket units can be with or without a built-in power cable and may have additional functions: on-off button, surge protection, short circuit protection via a circuit breaker built into the housing.
