PME series electromagnetic contactors are designed for use in stationary installations for remote starting by direct connection to the network, stopping, and reversing of three-phase squirrel-cage induction motors with a voltage up to 660 V AC at a frequency of 50 Hz. When equipped with thermal relays, the contactor provides protection for the controlled electric motors against overload, currents arising from a single-phase break, as well as against phase asymmetry.
