Switches are designed to carry current under normal conditions and to disconnect current in the event of short circuits, as well as during unacceptable voltage drops in the main or secondary circuit. They are designed for use in electrical networks with a voltage of up to 1140 V AC at a frequency of 50 and 60 Hz.
